TPS25942L: TPS25942L current monitor

Hi Team,

I am using the Overcurrent protection device PN: TPS25942L

I am using the IC also to measure current V/A (on R235 for example)

However I found that I get a DC voltage in the Current sense output even the load is Zero

I try to calibrate the DC-DC but it acts like a noise flor of~40m-100mV on the IMON output

I wonder if there is a way to improve the measurement on low currents <100mA?

Can you recommend on another IC which can measure low current <25mA too? (preferred to be pin compatible/same footprint)

Please advise.

    Hi Shlomi,

    TPS25942L works well for currents > 300mA. The lowest you can go is 100mA beyond that the offset and device to device variation dominates the IMON output. 

    Unfortunately, there is no device to measure currents in the range <25mA
