TPS61089: Question about the peak current limit and disable function

Hi team,

My customer would use TPS61089 device to convert (2.7~7.2)V supply to 11V. According to the datasheet, the minimum current limit at the worst case can be 0.8A lower than the calculated value. So if the limit current is 100mA, the calculated peak current limit (ILIM) should be 900mA. Is it correct?

In addition, when use disable function, if output is open, is there any issue or notice? Thanks a lot!

What is your output current? And generally, minimum I lim can't be too low.

it is OK to let the output open.

My output would be 100mA or less, what's the value of ILIM should be set? In addition, whether is ILIM related with inductor value? Thanks!

Dear Sir,

The input current Iin=11V*0.1A/0.9/2.7V=0.453A, the peak inductor current will around 0.6A based on the inductor value. since current limit has +-1A tolerance, so suggest to set the Ilim at around 2A-3A minimum. <2A is not suggested.
