Hello,I need to design a power supply: VIN=30~160VDC Vout=24VDC Iout=12.5A.

And I use the webench to design for it, the design result is use the device of UCC25630-3,as the attached file.

Could you help me to check the circuit and give me some advices to improve it.

Or give me other better reference design for my power supply. WBDesign38.pdf

UCC256303 is designed to work with higher voltages, such as a 380V from a PFC boost converter. LLC also does not work well for wide voltage range like the 5.3:1 your specification has.

Rather than use an LLC we recommend either an active clamp forward controlled with UCC2897A or hard switch half bridge controlled by UCC28251.

Hi Eric,

Another question,UCC2897A Recommended Operating voltage is 110V, how can I design it in 160V input voltage.

I assume you got the 110V limit from the UCC2897A Webench tool. This is not a true limit of our device. In order for webench to perform the calculations necessary to derive an entire power supply in a fraction of a second, assumptions need to be made in the design equations to simplify the process. These assumptions include reducing the operating range of some parameters, such as input voltage.

An example of a design that demonstrates this is PMP7410, which uses UCC2897A with an input of 220V to 400V.
