BQ25882: BATP Pin connt BAT capacitor

Hi:

The product I designed USES BQ25882,Layout directly connects BATP and VBAT together,BATP pin Connect to the  BAT capacitor,Is that a problem?

    Hi Ren,

    BATP is the regulation point for the charger.  If connected at the BAT capacitor, the charger will regulate that point to the VBATREG register setting.  This is not a problem for the charger.  However, if there is significant resistance between that point and the actual battery pack, the voltage drop across that resistance created by the charge current will extend taper time in constant voltage mode.
