LP5024: Odd issue with device responding on I2C bus but not lighting any LEDs

Part Number: LP5024
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCA9545A

Hi all,

We have our PCB which has several LP5024 LED drivers, a PCA9545A I2C bus switch and a TCA8414 I2C bus keyboard scanner on it.

We have a reset input that connects to the reset inputs on the 9545 and the 8414 and the the enable inputs on the 5024s.

The odd thing is that if we just rely on the pullup reset signal on our PCB to +3V3 without any active circuitry driving it everything appears to work fine. When we drive it with a +3.3V LVTTL signal from another board, even if it is driving high continuously, the 5024 still responds with ACKs on the I2C bus but does not light any LEDs.

I have no idea what is causing this. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Ian
