TPS5430: Can Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor be used as input capacitor for TPS5430

Hi,

I have selected TPS5430 regulator to get 5V output from 24V input. Can I use Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor as input capacitor for this regulator?
If yes would you recommend the capacitor - EEE-2AA100UP?
Can someone please clarify.

    Hi Meneka,

    Looks like you posted a couple of threads with the same questions. Please delete them when you can.

    Is this the only capacitor at the input? If so, we do not recommend using an electrolytic cap since the input requires low ESR decoupling capacitors. Usually Al electrolytic capacitors have high ESR which can result in high input voltage ripple which is not ideal.
