BQ24075-Q1: is it able to power SIM7000 and LE910 GSM modules ?

Hi, new design for automotive device powered from 12/24V which BQ24075-Q1 is good for that range of input. But saying 1.5A charging current which means LiPo batteries of 1500mAh can be charge. In my case I am using 1000 mAh. Is the chip can feed SIM7000 or LE910 modules during transmitting burst of 2.5 A for GPRS communication ?

Hello,

The BQ24075-Q1 has an OVP of 6.6V. A buck converter will be needed to regulate the input to the charger to 5V.

Hello,

I choose the the BQ24065 because 2-27V input range. 6.6V OVP kills the that part. Actually I need car battery input and power path battery backup when the car battery fails. the load works on 3.8 V +/- 0.2 V. Still looking solution, or other part number,

Hello,

The BQ24075 can tolerate up to 28V but the device turns off the input FET when the input is above 6.6V. The BQ24610 uses external FETs which allow for higher input voltages.
