BQ25150: PMID output current

hello,

our customer asks about PMID output current. In the recommended operating condition, PMID output current is specified 500mA max, however the absolute max current is specified 1.5A max, which is x3 higher than recommended PMID current.

Could you let us know why absolute max current is specified so high current.

The absolute maximum current includes the battery discharge current while the recommended current relates to PMID being powered from the input. That's the reason why they are different. If you take a look at the Battery OCP, you'll notice that it's also 1.5A.
