BQ78PL116: BQ78PL116 safety history

Part Number: BQ78PL116

During production run, I have a few units of battery pack is having the safety history below.

I check on this few battery pack, the voltage , temperature sensor function normally. Reset the fuse, battery pack function normal.

What i suspect is when this battery pack connect to my system , the I2C command(on start address error?) create this safety history?

May i know will the I2C command or I2C signal error able cause the safety history below?   da

  • Hi Ted,

It's unlikely that it was caused by a command. On init, it looks like the test rig connections were spotty and that caused this. Once you do a reset, the monitor will reset the registers and read the inputs again resolving your issue.
