    Please help me understand the nature of your application better: you want to use UCC25706 in a buck topology to generate 170Vdc/2.35A; what is the input to this deign?, what is the end application. I can possibily refer to a better suited topology if you share your design spec.

    Here are my requirements:

    Input:

     

    Input Voltage : 390VDC (+/- 5%)

    Topology : Buck Topology by using UCC25705/6

    Output (from Buck)

    Output Voltage : 170VDC (+/- 5%)

    Output Current : 2.35A (3A-Max)

    Output Power 400W

    Typical Application:

    Solenoid control (On-Off)

  • Hello Rajkumar,

    For this high input voltages and 450W output I would highly recommend using the phase shifted full bridge topology to mantain the converter efficicency.
