TPS23861: ETSI TS 101 548 solution

Part Number: TPS23861

Hi Guys

Do we have solution to support ETSI TS 101 548 SR1/SR2/SR3 power level?

We have a new requirement as below picture: AC input is 90-264Vac; two RJ11 port(one is input and another one is output)

requirement: support ETSI DTS 101 548, SR1/SR2/SR3 power level classification; follow the MDSU power-on startup protocol as defined by ETSI DTS 101 548

Communication speed: 1Gbit/s;

Supporting g.fast function and what we mention above as well. So do we have relative solution?

Thanks

  • Pengfei,

Thank you for your question and interest in PoE products from Texas Instruments.

Our focus is on IEEE 802.3af/at/bt interoperability and compliance; thus, we do not have a portfolio of products well suited for the g.fast application today.  We are keeping an eye on this market and appreciate your inquiry.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Thomas

Thanks for your reply. So far do we have any plan to design a new device to support this function? Or do you have any document about the G.fast? what is G.fast? If I don't require G.fast here. Do we have proper device supporting ETSI DTS 101 548?

    Thanks

    -Pengfei

  • Pengfei,

We are keeping an eye on this tangential market and do not comment on product roadmaps in a public space like the E2E Forum.  If wanting to discuss our roadmaps and strategy, please contact us through private TI email.

ETSI DTS 101 548 is a European standard that ties into the g.fast technology deployment.  You (or your customer) can order a copy here -->  https://www.techstreet.com/standards/etsi-ts-101-548?product_id=1940131 .

If wanting to learn more about the g.fast power architecture, you can search the internet as there are multiple documents and sites readily available.  You could also email me privately through TI email and I could share additional materials.

    Thanks,
