Hi team,
Could you support the following questions?
1. Customer calculated Pcond and PSW using equation (25) and (26) in the d/s. As a result, Pcond was 5.02W with Rds=0.028ohm and IQ(rms)=13.4A. PSW was 0.32W with IL=11.5A, VSW=38.4V, CRSS=14pF, and fsw=680kHz. The Pcond is higher than the PSW, but the d/s describes that the switch conduction losses are not a significant part of the total converter losses as follows. Could you tell me the reason?
9.1.5 Main Power MOSFET Selection
The MOSFET RDS resistance is usually a less critical parameter because the switch conduction losses are not a significant part of the total converter losses at high operating frequencies.
2. For the PSW/Pcond calculation, the "TPS92692-Q1 BOOST LED DRIVER COMPONENT CALCULATOR" seems to use Qg and Coss. Which is more accurate the CALCULATOR or equation (25) and (26) in the d/s ?
