Hi,

Once the golden GG file is uploaded into the BQ, is it necessary to run one discharge and charge cycle to get the accurate SOC ?

Or is it ok to ship the packs once GG file is uploaded ? We do 30% charging and 30% discharging to make sure that pack works fine.

Hi Vasanth,

Please don't use just the golden gg to update a new pack. Use the golden srec as that will have the chemistry information needed which is not there in the gg file. You don't need to run a chg, dsg cycle once your golden srec is loaded.

Hi Batt,

Thanks for the reply.

We are downloading SREC file to each pack during production. Our pack is rated for 25.6Ah, and we see FAH of ~22Ah when downloading the SREC file to pack. Once we do complete discharge/charge cycle, the FAH is updated to ~26Ah.

Are we missing anything here ? Not sure why we are seeing 22Ah for the first time after downloading the SREC file.

Hi Vasanth,

That is acceptable. Once learned the capacity will update appropriately.
