LMG1205: HS Pins of LMG1205

Hello,

Are the two HS pins of LMG1205 (one for the source of the high side FET and the other for the bootstrap cap) internally short or I have to short them externally on the PCB?

    Hi Mausamjeet,

    thanks for reaching out about LMG1205.

    The foot note at the bottom of the pin functions section of the datasheet ensures that the doubles of HS and VDD are internally connected as well. Its ok to short them on the board externally if possible but they are internally connected and it is not necessary. The placement of the capacitors close to the driver is the reason for the bga pinout and is important to get the tightest gate loop.
