    Hey David,

    In order to use the ICO function, you must enable the EN_ICO_MODE bit in the ChargeOption3() register. Keep in mind that the ICO algorithm will not optimize the input current limit used in the IIN_DPM() register until the VINDPM threshold is tripped first.

    In other words, your adapter will have to be overloaded first and drop to the VINDPM threshold (programmed in the InputVoltage() register) for the input current limit to found by the algorithm.
