LMZM33606: 2 quick questions

Part Number: LMZM33606

Hi Team,

2 quick questions from customer, please kindly help, thanks.

1) In page.20, Table 6, customer cannot find 36V example, and wondering if any special reason we don't put it? Thanks!

2.Customer would like to use RFBT to dynamically change Vout from 6~20V /5A, do we have any concern this way of using our device? Anything we should be aware of, like potential risk? Thanks!!

Andrew

  • Hi Andrew,

    1. 5V, 12 and 24V are common input voltage rails that we have seen customers use this part for. The table was created in hopes that it will apply to the majority of customers. There are no limitations to using this device at maximum input voltage. The typical characteristics for different output voltage conditions given a fixed 36V input supply can be seen in Section 6.9 of the datasheet.
    2. When designing for a dynamically adjustable output voltage application, the customer should design the output capacitance for the lowest output voltage selection. This is the worse case design that requires the highest amount of output capacitance. Keep in mind that the recommended output capacitance is 700uF for this device. Customers should design with this in mind and test for stability for each output voltage option.
