BQ24295: BQ24295: Check the OTG mode behavior

Part Number: BQ24295
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25606

Hi Team,

We would like to double check below condition.

For the BQ24295, if we removed the VBUS and enable the OTG mode, then PMID pin will present 5V and VBUS present 0V.

Is it correct?

We have tested the BQ25606, if we enable OTG mode, the VBUS and PMID pin will present 5V both. Looks the behavior is different between BQ25606 and BQ24295.

  • Hi,

BQ24295 is mainly for power bank applications. The boost current is supported from PMID pin as in the application diagram on the d/s and VBUS=0V in OTG.

BQ25606 is for regular charger application. VBUS&PMID both support OTG outputs.

    Thanks,

    Ning.
