BQ27426: GMFS loading questions

Hi team,

Plesae help on below questions.

GMFS loading takes more than 3 seconds. 1 second for SET_CFGUPDATE and 2 seconds for software reset. Any room to improve (shorter delay)?
During GMFS loading, if the delay between two i2c transfer less than 170 us, the 2^nd transfer may get data NAK from gauge IC. The i2c bus runs at 100KHz. Is this delay essential?
We saw charging current is positive/negative for charging/discharging. However the DSG control bit in flag register doesn’t reflect correct charging state?

1. Unfortunately, no.

2.Yes, such delays are required to ensure the data is successfully written to the gauge. pls see our gauge communication app note in the link below:

3. The dsg flag is set during discharge and rest and cleared during charging.

For DSG flag, My customer still can’t get correct value. Any possible reason may cause the issue such as hardware design or GMFS setting?

Hi Richard,

Can you elaborate on what you mean your customer can't get correct value. The dsg flag is a either set or cleared.

Can you provide a log file showing the dsg flag not behaving appropriately?
