Hi TI,
I have a question.
If I set input current with 1A and charging current with 500mA. System load: 100mA
At this condition, How much current can be output from PMID?
I would like to know priority of PMID. PMID->SYS->BAT? SYS->BAT->PMID?

Hi Mason,
You can think of the priority as PMID > SYS > BAT.
In the case you described, more and more current can be pulled from PMID until IBUS (the input current) reaches 1 A. At this point, IBAT will decrease since the battery is the lowest priority. If IBAT falls below zero, this indicates that the battery has entered supplement mode and is discharging current in order to help power the system.
PMID can be considered the highest priority since only the RBFET separates VBUS from PMID, as shown in the block diagram on page 16 of the datasheet. Therefore, PMID can draw current from VBUS even if the converter is not switching.
Best regards,
Angelo
