LM4040: LM4040AIM3-2.5/NOPB

LM4040 is a 2 pin shunt regulator where you will force current to cathode pin and get a constant voltage at cathode. 

In this circuit diagrame  Cathode Current = (VDD - 2.5)/Rs .

Operating condition for Cathode current (Max = 15mA) is given in the data sheet Section 6.3. You can choose Rs and VDD accordingly.

You can decide the Voltage range by selecting appropriate RS value. 

VDD(max) = Cathode current (max)* Rs + 2.5 V
