Is there any significance on naming the controller as Green Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge Controller. Is green meant any special operation that cannot be found in other ICs.

Hello Jayanth
The 'Green' term is used for a couple of reasons:
1/ The part conforms to RoHS limits and because the ZVS characteristic of the PSFB allows more efficient operation than other hard switched topologies.
2/ The SRs are disabled at light loads because at some load level the losses associated with switching the SRs becomes greater than those due to Vf losses in the MOSFET body diodes.
3/ In the DS it says "Green (RoHS & no Sb/Br): TI defines "Green" to mean Pb-Free (RoHS compatible), and free of Bromine (Br) and Antimony (Sb) based flame retardants (Br or Sb do not exceed 0.1% by weight in homogeneous material) "
