Hello team,
I am working with one of the customer for 24V battery cluster design.
Schematic of the design is same as LM76003EVM (for 5V output)
Initially customer reported issue that output voltage increases from 5V to 7V as input voltage increases from 10V to 50V.
1. RT pin is left open
2. feedback divider is set to 100k and 25k
3. inductor tried - 6.8uH and 22uH
4. There are two 47uF caps at output
With above components, output is within certain range, but not completely regulated.
At no load condition (which consumes hardly <100mA at the output)
- For input range of 18V to 24V, inductor makes lot of noise and output drops to 4.4V.
- Output voltage is regulated accurately at 5V for <18V and >24V input.
With 2.5A load on the output
- For input range of 26V to 28V, inductor makes noise and output drops to 4.8V.
- Switching frequency is stable until input <22V. for more than 22V input, SW pattern is unstable and it shifts to 2.2MHz for input >27V
Kindly help to provide your inputs to stabilize the circuit.
