TPS2378: PoE switch makes reset when conneting

Good morning,

 

the problem we have is :

 

with this circuit the devices starts at an PoE switch, but if we connect more than one, the current seams to be too high ?

if I connect (hot plug) a second device (RJ45) all is off in the first moment. Some time it comes back, sometime nothing works.

Is this inrush current function of the TPS2378 not for the power supply start ? what do I need that it works ?

 

U_WIDE_PoE und GND_PoE is the PoE voltage at the RJ45.

U_WIDE_IN ist an auxiliary power supply (not used)

U_WIDE is the power supply oft he following device (additional 100µF Capacity and approx.. 100-200mA for)

    Hello Alexander, 

    Thank you for your question. For having two RJ45  ports, are you wanting dual inputs for redundancy, or are you wanting both ports to have power? If you want them both to have power, are they powering the same load or different loads?
