LP8556: LP8556

Part Number: LP8556

Hi Sir,

From LP8556 spec, PWM/I2C IO pins only define absolute maximum ratings.

Does it means these I/O’s input voltage level range are independent from EN/VDDIO pin?

For example, our EN/VDDIO only supply 1.8V, but PWM may supply 1.8V or 4V ; I2C may supply 1.8V or 3.3V.

Does it have any concern when I/O pin voltage level higher than EN/VDDIO(internal logic power)?

Thanks, Ian.

  • Hi Ian,

PWM and I2C logical level depends on the EN/VDDIO voltage supply. It will detect as high when it is larger than 0.7*VDDIO and detect as low level when it is lower than 0.3*VDDIO.

There is no special concern when it is over EN/VDDIO level as long as it not exceed the absolute maximum rating.

    Regards

    Sean
