BQ25150: Charge management certification

Hi,

I want to add a chargeable battery to my PCB.

Do I need to have my circuit certified if I add a pmic? Does it exist regulation for battery charger such as FCC for RF?

    Hello,

    The BQ25150 is a linear device so i don't expect any RF certification requirements on the IC. However, the system level requirement will depend on your board and other components you have.

    I don't expect any RF certification requirements on the IC either, this was just an example. I want to know if there are certifications for charge management. Do I need to pass any new certification if I add this IC to my device or I can sell it as the older version that I have ?

    Hello,

    I'm not familiar with any charge management certifications. This will depend on your system and the certifications you've done in the past. I'll suggest consulting with them as this is typically done on a system level.
