Hi Webmaster,

My customer was testing the TPS63020 for SSD power system.

Their system Vin=2.6V ~ 5V, Vout = 3.3V and Iout = 2A

When they are using TPS63020EVM and test under this condition, TPS63020 only have 3.3V, 1.2A output.

If we change loading to 2A, the voltage will drop to 1.5V.

When I configure the design setting into the Wenbench, TPS63020 can drive 3.3V, 1.9A output.

My question is how to shorten the test gap with Wenbench simulation?

Hi David:

Thanks for asking. May I know what's the power supply for your system? Is it has enough capability for such load? It's important as Vin is one of the key factors to ensure the converter current capability.

It's appreciate if your catch the waveform of Vin, Vout, and SW at different load condition, including no load, half load and full load.

Hi Minqiu,

Customer setup the Vin=2.6V, and Vout=3.3 and system require Iout = 2A .

They only connect with TPS63020EVM-487 and haven't changed anything.

In this condition, Iout only have 1.2A current output.

Cab you guide me how to tuning the Iout > 2A in EVM board?

May you help to confirm the power supply current capability? And the conductive of cables. As I mentioned, it's important as Vin is one of the key factors to ensure the converter current capability.

I afraid the Vin may drop a lot than expectation. It's better to catch the waveform Vin, Vout during full load.
