Hi！

I wonder if LP2998-Q1 can work as the cell-balancing socket for the super cap. If so, could you please tell me the principle and the realization circuit？I wish to realize the cell balancing between two super-cap in series, and each one is 25F/2.7V.

Hi Wenxiu,

Do you plan to use two LP2998 to charge two cap in series, one LP2998 for each cap?

LP2998 can source and sink current, it should be able to regulator the voltage of each cap and keep the voltage of two cap balanced.

Hi Wenxiu,

The circuit should work. LP2998 will regulate the bottom cap voltage.
