TPS62130A: Is the TTPS62130A suitable for low-capacity design at the input?

My design conditions are as follows:

Vin=5.7V~ 8V

Vout= 5V

Iout=3A

Cin = Input capacitance can only be less than or equal to 9uF

Freq. = 1.2MHz or 2.5MHz

Working temperature = 60~70 degrees

Can such a design condition be applied to the TPS62130A?

Hello William,

TPS62130A can accommodate your design requirement. And the Webench tool (http://www.ti.com/design-resources/design-tools-simulation/webench-power-designer.html) can be used to verify your design as well.

You might want to consider the newer devices such as TPS62135 (Fsw = 2.5MHz) or TPS62136 (Fsw = 1MHz) which can support up to 4-A of load current.
