Part Number: TPS40200

I m using TPS40200 in a design. My concern is stability and compensation simulation.

From the Models and Ref Designs in http://www.ti.com/product/TPS40200/toolssoftware which one is better to be used for simulation.

In general what is the difference between the provided models (Transient, Average) in this page.

Hi,

I believe the transient model is for the whole circuit simulation and the average model is probably only for AC analysis for the part (some features might not be enabled)

So, I can use transient model both for time domain simulation and stability analysis I assume, correct?

I have never try this myself but i believe it should, let me know if you have any difficulties running it.

But you may have a longer convergence time.

In this page there is a file called: TPS40200 TINA-TI AC Analysis Reference Design (Rev. D)

When I open it in TI TINA there is a module U1 which includes TPS40200 with resistor and capacitors. Can we change the value of resistor and capacitors or they are fixed within U1 and the model is optimized for only 12 to 3.3V converter simulation?

From the look of it i don't think you can change the module capacitor and resistor
