TPS65130: Minimum current needed to operate

Hello,

I am probably missing something, but what is the minimum current needed to operate the device? All I see is the limit at 800mA. I want to connect this to one of your isolation chip outputs (isow7842) which has abut 130mA capable output at 5vdc. Will this be sufficient?

Hi,

800mA is not supply current requirement of TPS65130. TPS65130 can wake up and operate with 130mA supply current as long as output load current on boost and inverter output is enough low. For example, if boost and inverter output load is 10mA (10mA is just example for low value), you can operate TPS65130 with 130mA supply current capability. If load is high like 200mA, 130mA is not enough to operate TPS65130.

Shinya, Thanks for your help. All the TPS6513 is doing is supplying the rails to an op-amp, the current draw should be minimal I would think.
