UCC2897A: About DMAX

My customer has question.

The data sheet specifies DAMX under the following conditions.
RON = ROFF = 75kΩ
RDRL = 10kΩ
DMAX = 66% -74%

If the same conditions are used and calculated using equations (1) to (5), DMAX ≒ 65%.
There is a difference of 5% compared to the standard value TYP.
Is this correct?

The calculated Dmax value is 65% using the formulae's in the datasheet but with the variation in the IC can be in the range of 66 to 74% for the max value in practice.

This means that the UCC2897A can vary from the calculated DMAX by about 1-10%?
Is it the same variation from various DMAX calculations?

Hi Kishi-san,

I would make that assumption based on the information in the datasheet. So if you calculate a DMAX of 50% I would allow a worse case maximum of 57, 50% * (74%/65%).
