BQ27510-G3: Question for BQ27510-G3 several setting with default value ??

Part Number: BQ27510-G3

Hi

Thank you very much a lot of help .

I talking our customer about these setting value .

  1)   Dsg Current Threshold

  2)   Quit Current

  3)  I Correction Rate

【 Question 】

1)  About Dsg Current Threshold , device default is  60mA.

I thinking , this default value dose not change  , because of TRM said this one

" which should be sufficient for most applications ".

Dose we need  each customer  striation??

2) About Quit Current  , device default is  40mA.

Customer system Stanley current is   10mA - 11mA, and we changed to  10mA.

Dose we need change to small bigger than 10mA ??    For instance 12mA or more ??

    * Device learning is success at 10mA setting value.

3)  About   I Correction Rate ,device default is  10%.

Customer system dose not connect  Ext  TS ( Thermister ) ,and change to  Internal Temp with System.

*TS Pin connected to 10kohm and change to Int Temp by Data Flash setting.

If I do not use an external thermistor, do I need to set it to 0?

But  I don't think it needs to change.

If there is no change, are there any side effects?

Thanks and Regard

  • Hi March

    1. You set the dsg current threshold to a value below the currents your application will see in normal mode of operation.

    2. You set the quit current to be above the standby current of your application

    3. When you use the internal temp sensor, wrtemp flag should be set to 0. You can connect a 10k resistor as you described. See TRM section 2.4 for addicitonal details.

    thanks
