LM74700-Q1: When will recover back if meet reverse current protection

Hi team,

There is a description in datasheet as below, to double confirm, is that mean when LM74700-Q1 in reverse current protection, it will recover back to turn on the MOSFET once Vin-Vout > 50mV?

A fast comparator shuts down the Gate Drive through a fast Pull-Down within 0.45 μs (typical) as soon as V(IN) – V(OUT) falls below –11 mV. It turns on the Gate with 11mA gate charge current once the differential forward voltage V(IN) – V(OUT) exceeds 50 mV

Yes, LM74700-Q1 in reverse current protection, it will recover back to turn on the MOSFET once Vin exceeds VOUT, that means reverse condition is cleared.

Reverse comparator threshold is -11mV. Once Vin crosses Vout by few mV, LM74700 turns on. Reverse comparator has hysterisis of 10mV, but let me confirm this later tomorrow.

When Vin-Vout > 50mV, LM74700-Q1 will definetly turn on.

After a reverse trip, the reverse turnoff comparator needs to sense 20mV forward voltage for it to turn on and not 50mV as mentioned in datasheet.

Datasheet will be corrected in the next revision.
