I was messing with the BQTester V1.0.2, which doesn't have support for the BQ20z95 built in. I read somewhere to add it in the targets folder so I did. Then I attempted to upload my golden dfi, then golden .rom file to my board.

I believe I have put the IC into some sort of rom mode. I can't seem to program it with the bqEVSW, or read SBS data from it. I get a vb_t2h_unknown error from the sbs screen when trying to scan. What are some commands that I could shoot over to the IC that might revive it? Any and all thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If the device is in ROM mode, you can send a SMB command 0x08 (from EVSW PRO screen) to put the device back in FW mode.

I have tried to send 0x08 SMB command. It seems to receive it but it doesn't start returning any sort of SBS data when queried. I was thinking over the weekend maybe if I was able to put it into ROM Mode I could send the Golden ROM I have over to it, and then push it back into FW mode. Maybe then I could bring it back online. I will give this a shot again today. Thanks Jackie!

This issue was with our communication wiring setup. very small short causing issue intermittently.
