TPS51218: is there any suggested device similar to TPS51218, for Vin=12V, Vout=5V?

Customer used TPS51218 before, now they want to use a buck for Vin=12V, Vout=5V, Imax=20A, but TPS51218 can only support up to 2.6V. And also the external 5-V supply is not preferred. I am looking for TPS40190. Could you help give some suggestion? Thank you.

Hi Aki,

How about TPS51220A or TPS51225? They are both dual channel buck controllers supporting up to 12V Vout. External 5V VIN is not required.

Dear Sam,

Thank you. Do you have any single channel option suggested? I will also promote these dual channel buck controllers to see their feedback. As for TPS51225, the output voltge is fixed with 3.3V and 5V?

You can get lots of single channel results on ti.com, product searching... Like TPS40195, TPS53119, TPS40075, TPS53015...

Yes, for TPS51225, the output voltages are fixed.
