LM5088-Q1: about feedback resistors selection

Part Number: LM5088-Q1

Hi Team

D/S says the bottom feedabck resistor(Rfb1) sould be selected by the current through the resistor (1.2V/Rfb1) is in between 1mA and 100uA.

my question is ..

[1] why we set Max 1mA ?

[2] why we set Min 100uA ?

  • Hi Paul,

These are rule-of-thumb guidelines. The max of 1mA just limits the power dissipation and loading effect of the feedback resistors. The min of 100uA is to avoid high value feedback resistors that may be susceptible to noise due to high impedance.

    Regards,
