Hello,

I think this might be a 3 stage solution.

1. UCC28056 critical conduction mode PFC design for 85V to 265V RMS to 390V output.

2. A UCC28C42 in a two switch forwarded to step down the 390V to 100V DC.

3. A UCC28C42 setup in a buck converter to step down the 100V DC to 85V to 12V DC.

Duty cycle variation would 85% to 12%

4. It might even be worthwhile having a little offline buck converter using the UCC28881 to regulate the IC power to the two UCC28C42 devices; as well as, the UCC28056.
