Hello Sir,

May I have your support to double check can we modify default OVP setting ( 6.5V) by external circuit due to no i2c host could access REG06 ?

Can I apply a voltage divider to Vac pin to change it ?

    Hi Terry,

    Unfortunately, there is no way to change the default VAC OVP setting of 6.5 V. Using a voltage divider to step VAC down below VBUS is not recommended because the BQ25600 has several comparators that use VAC as a reference voltage, so this would complicate the design.

    What is your desired charge current? If it is 1.5 A or less, then we recommend the new BQ25619 instead. The BQ2561x family is an updated version of the BQ2560x family, and the default VAC OVP setting is 14.2 V.
