UCC21520: How to deal with the unused pin on pin 9,10 and 11

Hi Expert,

The customer would like to have the leverage from their existing UCC21520 design.

But only one channel needed of new design.

Pls advice how to deal with the unused pin (pin 9,10 and 11).

    Thank you for your question.

    Since the input side, CHA, and CHB are all functionally isolated from each other, you can leave unused pin 9, 10, and 11 floating, and everything should work fine.

    Another option is to tie DT (pin 6) to VCCI (pin 3,8) and parallel INA/INB, VDDA/VDDB, VSSA/VSSB and OUTA/OUTB. This will effectively double your output drive strength. Feel free to read more about this in section 5 of the app note linked below.
