hi,

i want to connect two LMG5200 modules one above the other, as shown:

my configuration will cause the lower module Vin (and upper Pgnd) to be switched from 0 to Vdd=~75 

is there any problem with that? or special connection need to be done?

extra layout rules?

    Hello Yotam,

    There is no specific rule to follow on this. You just need to make sure that you have right isolation for the upper side half-bridge. The layout rules should be the same as the single power stage.

    thanks Lixing, its answer my question, but i have another one.

    In the Datasheet, it mentioned that overlap between Hi and Li can damage the device.

    is this because of the short circuit from Vin to GND (large voltage over small Rdson)? 

    or there is something else?

    In my design, the upper module will need to conduct both GaNs at some point but it's PGNG (pin9) is not the ground of the power supply
