TPS7A92: Unexpected p2p short case

Part Number: TPS7A92

Hello,

I have a question for TPA7A92 when we consider an unexpected p2p short case.
The NR/SS pin(No.8) has 3.6V of lower ABS max than VIN&EN adjacent.
When the VIN&EN is 5V and unexpectedly shorted to the NR/SS, what is likely happen?
- Damaged the device?
- Internally clamped? or else?

Thanks in advance.

  • HI Sawamoto-san,

If NR/SS is shorted to 5V, this violates the abs max rating of the NR/SS pin:

    This will damage the device.

If VIN is lowered below 3.6 and this occurs, VOUT will be impacted as NR/SS this is the input reference for our error amplifier:

I hope this answers your question.

    Regards,
