BQ25125: Changing the default value of the BQ2512x family

Hi,

I was wondering is there a way to set the default DC/DC output to 3.0V... This family of parts has everything I need except I need it to run it @ 3.0V upon power up

Hello Mike,

The BQ2512x family currently doesn't have a device with 3V DCDC. Please take a look at the TPS61099 boost converter in addition to the BQ2512x. Can you please tell me what you need the 3V rail for.

I was hoping to use the SYS output as the main rail for my device... My MCU is NFS52310, though it can run at 1.8V, I have a few other devices running at the 3.0V (RGB led and driver)... Do you think the LDO can drive the RGB led (Wurth Part #150044M155260) and driver (Kinetic Part #KTD 2026) which by rough calculations should be under 100mA

The LDO should be fine as long as the load is below 100mA. You can power the MCU from the DCDC and adjust the LDO voltage after startup.
