Is there any idea about to use UCC28070 with shunt resistors instead of transormers to sense the mosfet current?
Did anybody make such an attempt?

Hi, Maurizio
do you have any reference circuit with ucc28070 except that 300W from TI?
currently im using this ic for 1kw power supply. can u help me?
thanks
Hi Maurizio,
Yes. UCC28070 has current synthesize which allow you to use resistor for current sensing. For amplifying I am using THS4281 in instrumental configuration and blanking puls .
Duration of blanking puls depend on switching frequency and Qg chosen mosfet. 200-350ns blanking puls on raising and falling edge can keep you waveform clean from noises during transition time. Keep gain (THS4281) low and band-with high. There is another elegant solution for current sensing. SI8503 from Silicon Labs. I tested this sensor and it works excellent on 200kHz. SI85XX works synchronously with UCC28070 PWM output and need to be connected with 22Ohm (max) resistor to pin# 3 of SI8503 to out of mosfet gate driver.
I hope i gave you idea to solve problem with current sensing.
