BQ34110: Discharge Load Control

The bq34110 has a learning load. Is it possible to control this load directly using the serial port? I am considering how to discharge the battery to 30% for shipping by air.

Hi Chris,

You can use the LEN pin for charger control as it's a GPIO.

Hi Batt,

Thanks for your reply. I hope to use the LEN pin to drive the learn load as described in the datasheet (~1% discharge). If I can then switch the LEN pin for use as a general purpose output I could use it to switch the load on until discharged to 30% SoC.

Is that what you meant?

Yes, you can use it for that. You can also use the other GPIOs for that if you choose to.
