TPS2595: R1/R2 resistor

Hi E2E,

About design of TPS259541, can we change input R1/R2 to smaller scale(100 times) than datasheet suggestion without any problem?

Since we’d like to control enable function by external CPLD, the value for now is too large for our demand.

Hi Julian,

Reducing R1 and R2 doesn't effect the operation of TPS2595. The only problem would be the leakage current (VIN/(R1 + R2)) flowing into the resistors R1 and R2 and the power dissipation due to it.

If you are not worried about this leakage current in your system, you can reduce the resistance values.
