How to design to ensure the accuracy of the sampling of analog quantity

  • Hello,

Thanks for your question. I am an applications engineer in our high power drivers group.

From the secondary side, AIN, you should minimize the amount of noise present on your signal due to the IGBT/MOSFET switching, you may include a low-pass filter according to the noise level. Additionally, you must ensure the voltage at AIN remains within the operating range of 0.5V to 4.5V.

With respect to variation in the APWM duty cycle and frequency, it is best to do a system-level calibration to account for the process variation and/or temperature variation depending on your system operating conditions. The final measured value will be adjusted based on your calibration results and will improve your overall measurement accuracy.

The duty cycle, D_APWM, is a linear function of the AIN voltage, where D_APWM(%) = -20*V_AIN+100. To find V_AIN, the measured D_APWM value will be adjusted based on the calibration result.

    Regards,
