TPS62745: Internal Diode

Hello,

Can you please advise if the device has internal diode to protect it from reverse current from Vout to Vin?
If no supply is connected to VIN (or left open/floating), will the device be fine? Are there no internal paths that will cause it to conduct current from Vout?

    Hi Elisha,

    Just like for nearly all buck converters, there is a parasitic diode across the high-side FET which will conduct from Vout to Vin.  This is shown in the block diagram and written in the abs max table for the voltage limit on the SW pin.

    What is your application configuration?

    We also just released the 60 nA Iq TPS62840, in case it is useful for your application.
