Dear Sir,

We will follow PMP7756 reference circuit to design but have a question that Vcc pin rating voltage is 16V but PMP7756 reference circuit input is -48V. Please help to double check this reference circuit is OK for Vcc pin? Will this lead to burning?

Hi Sam,

This is a common method for application where the system input voltage exceeds the Vin pin maximum voltage range.

In PMP7756 circuit, when Vin pin voltage exceeds 8.2V, Q102 will be turned off, and then Vin and VCC are supplied by auxiliary Vcc.
