Hi, I need to make buck power stage for 30W heater working witch 24V input voltage, and working temperature about 100 degree. I thought about use BQ500101, but this IC has no thermal protection. So my next idea was to use voltage buck regulator such as TPS54531 and use EN or FB pin for control output voltage. Could you tell me if that sollution may works good? Maybe other better solution? The gool is to maximum simplisity of power stage and current and thermal protection.

Hi Marcin, you want the device to operate at 100degC or 100degF ambient temperature?

30W out would be a lot to ask for a converter at 100degC from a thermal perspective.

I would think you would maybe want some additional headroom on your input if you are operating off 24VIN nominally.

What is the max input voltage? Do you have TVS?

LM73605 might be a goood fit for you?
