Hi all,
We are referring to your Application Report SNVA681A. We have made few minor changes to the following load dump circuit;

The Issue:
When we do multiple hot-plugins with the supply (around 4 times), the TL431 is getting burnt. But for normal operation there is no issue. When we replaced all the passive components with the values as mentioned in Figure 6 (above), still the TL431 was getting burnt when we did hot plugins. And when we removed C1 capacitor (C105 in our schematic) the TL431 did not burn when we did hot plugins.
Kindly help us in resolving this issue, when the capacitor C1 is present and hot plugging test is performed the TL431 is getting burnt. When C1 is removed all works fine even hot plugins.
